Maxcor completes purchase of ThyssenKrupp Metalcutting Group
On October 6, 2005, Maxcor, Inc., in partnership with Silver Point Finance, LLC completed the purchase of ThyssenKrupp's MetalCutting Group. The MetalCutting Group is comprised of Cross Hüller, Hüller Hille, Hessapp, Witzig & Frank, Fadal and Giddings & Lewis. The companies will operate under Maxcor's MAG Industrial Automation Systems business segment and will join leading manufacturing solutions provider, Cincinnati Lamb.

Maxcor, Inc. is an acquisitions and operations management organization with emphasis on operational improvement and growth strategies. The company has strong expertise in manufacturing, automation, distribution and industrial services.

ThyssenKrupp MetalCutting GmbH
At the beginning of 2003, all metal cutting companies (Cross Hüller, Hüller Hille Diedesheim, Hüller Hille Hessapp, Giddings & Lewis, Fadal and Witzig & Frank) belonging to ThyssenKrupp were merged into the ThyssenKrupp MetalCutting GmbH. With this merger an increase in the efficiency of the group is expected. By consistent bundling of activities and know-how, ThyssenKrupp MetalCutting will offer machine tools of outstanding quality worldwide in the future as well.
